An affinity comes naturally. A talent is developed.

For two decades I have been interested in what makes something well designed. Why do some layouts/typography/posters look stunning, while others feel flat or off-kilter? Is it just trial and error that produces good design? I decided to learn the principles and “rules” behind good design so that my natural artistic instincts would have the scaffolding and support of a deeper understanding. It has been a fascinating journey, and I enjoy sharing.

My eyes are my most precious tool. I feel the most inspired when my eyes are swallowing up the greatest design there is: the wildness of the outdoors.
